Nickelodeon Universe

We had the Vigneron family Christmas in Minneapolis this year. We decided to spend a long weekend together and go to the amusement park in the Mall of America. It was so much fun and Paige just loved the rides. It really is a great family park with lots of rides for both adults and kids. The last time we did this I was about 10 weeks pregnant with Alaina, sick, and we hadn't announced yet, so I didn't even tell anyone. This was so much more enjoyable. We got a family picture taken with the Backyardigans.
Just getting ready to ride our first ride.

Paige loved the "Swiper" ride.

This Skateboard ride was AWESOME! Way intense for an indoor ride. Clockwise from Left: Aunt Amber, Mommy, Uncle James, Aunt Jenna, and Papa

It was nice to have lots of hands to help with the kids. I don't think anyone minded. Here is Unkie Patrick and Alaina.

Daddy and Paige getting ready for the Blues Clues ride.

Papa and Paige on the Carousel.

I think Paige rode this ride 4 times. She loved it. It shot them up in the air, then bounced them down. She just laughed and laughed. I was so proud of my big girl riding it all by herself. (She's on the far right.)

Watching if fun, too!

"CHOO CHOO" it was nice to be able to take Paige on a few rides as a family.

Alaina is 9 months

I can't believe that Alaina is already 9 months old. This year is just flying by. We had her 9 month appointment today and thought that I would update everyone on how she is doing.

Height: 28.25 inches (75th percentile)
Weight: 15.25 pounds (3rd percentile)
Head Circumference: 17.25 inches (50th percentile)

I guess we make them long and lean. Alaina eats so much that I can hardly believe she is so light. She has been crawling since 5 and a half months, pulls herself up to things easily, climbs the stairs, and is just starting to cruise furniture, and loves to have her legs rubbed. Alaina hates to have her diaper changed. She fusses when it's dirty, but will NOT stay on her back to let us change her. She is so strong. She naps twice a day, for not as long as I would like, but naps nonetheless. She loves to chase Paige and always has a smile for her.

Alaina, you are a precious, precious girl. You are so loved by Mommy and Daddy and Paigey. I pray daily for you, that you will grow into a wise woman who loves Jesus with all your heart. I love your smiles and giggles, and look forward to watching you grow. I love you little lamb!

Volleyball

Mark and I have started playing volleyball in the city rec league with some friends. Last night was the first night. We had a lot of fun, even though we didn't win and are really looking forward to playing every week. We used to play a lot before we had kids. I hadn't touched a volleyball since before I was pregnant with Paige. I am officially old, as I can't even play anymore without my arms bruising. They look awful. I had to post a pic to prove how bad they look and trust me, they look worse in person.
Paige wants to play volleyball, too.

So Much Snow

I feel like we are having a repeat of last winter. . . snow, snow, and more snow. And did I mention BITTER cold. Yes, it read -11 in the car last night as I driving home. Poor Paige asked to go outside today and I couldn't let her because it is supposed to be around -40 with wind chill. She did get some play time a few days ago while she helped her dad clean off the back deck for Casey. She absolutely loves to be outside and she doesn't seem to mind the cold.

Yes, Paige is scooping snow with a sand toy. We need to get her a shovel that is her size.

Paige's Haircut

So, I should have known when I found her trying to cut her doll's hair with a pair of scrapbooking scissors, that it was only a matter of time before Paige tried to cut her own hair. I knew I should have put the scissors out of her reach. I went upstairs to lay Alaina down for her morning nap and change the laundry. Paige was playing in the basement, which she does everyday. When I got back downstairs I didn't see Paige. As I rounded the corner I noticed that the door to the office was open. There sat Paige, under the desk, scissors in hand, hair on the floor. Luckily, she hadn't done much damage. I can only imagine what would have happened had I been a few minutes longer. I only hope this is the end of the hair cutting. I have a bad suspicion that it may not be the last time one of my girls gets an unplanned haircut.

She cut a small section just above her bangs.

Pics By Paige

Paige got a Fisher Price Digital Camera for Christmas and I thought it would be fun to post her pics. It's fun to see the world through the eyes of a 2 year old. It gives you an idea of what they really like.

Lauren Kay

We got to watch Cameron Miller the other day while Natasha took Aubrey and Lauren to an appointment. When they came back Paige wanted to hold Wauren (Lauren) and Aubrey wanted to hold Alaina. It was pretty sweet seeing them hold each other's sister. Paige adored Lauren and felt so big giving her the pacifier.
