Sleep is not overrated!

Yea! Alaina slept through the night last night. So we tried cereal for two nights before last night, and we had horrible nights. She ate the cereal well (single grain rice), but was up 4 times between 1am and 8am both nights. It was aweful. I decided we were going to desert the cereal and go back to nursing and topping off with a couple ounces of formula. Success! It could be just a fluke, but after getting no more than 1.5 hours of sleep at time for two nights, the 7 hours straight I got last night was bliss. We'll see how it goes tonight. It is such a guessing game right now.

Is anyone else suffering from the sweltering heat right now? We are holed up in the basement where it is cool. Those of you in Texas and Florida probably aren't feeling all that bad for us, but seriously, it's brutal. You know how it feels when the sun's been beating down on your car and you open the door and the heat comes pouring out? Well, that's how it feels when you open your front door. I was made for the 70's. . .Degree's that is!

You have had higher temps there than we are having here. We at least can get used to what we have: low 90's every day. We also get rain almost every day (usually a brief shower) that cools things down for a bit. Stay cool!
